I have always loved looking for ways to catch more fish. It was out of this passion for fishing that I created The Fishing Bobber.

The idea for The Fishing Bobber came while fishing from the bank of a pond. I was fishing for crappie that were suspended near a brush pile. It was difficult to fish because I kept pulling my jig out of the target zone.

I imagined being in a boat with the ability to lower my lure into the target zone – and keep it there.

I decided to create a bobber that would allow me to cast my lure over the fish and move the lure without moving it out of the target area. This is when the idea for The Fishing Bobber was born.

I used a slip bobber because it allows for precise depth control, even in deeper water. Next, I designed a series of armatures that could manipulate the bait. Finally, I designed the brains of the bobber. It needed to be programable and controlled by a mobile device.
