So every now and again I search for something that I hope either catches people off guard or it is something that most people do not realize. In today’s travels I found myself gazing at The American Museum of Fly Fishing website. Yes, there is a National museum dedicated to wonderful sport of fly fishing.

The museum resides in Manchester, Vermont and house’s the world’s largest collection of angling art and angling-related items. I was quite impressed with what the museum offers and hope to visit there the next time I find myself in the region. They have an impressive exhibit gallery space, a library and reading room, a Museum store to name a few of the resources.

In looking at the history of fly fishing, the museum covers people, rods, reels, and flies in their exhibit arena. This definitely covers the whole scheme of our sport. There is also a wide variety of collections to view. I encourage you to check them out, when in the area, and say “The Fishing Bobber says Hi”.
